We welcomed Brad Priday of Shephard Insurance. He gave us an overview of the insurance industry, including business and personal insurance, liability coverage and employee benefits.

But the conversation went well beyond insurance! Brad shared some great perspectives on personal accountability, leadership and the importance of taking ownership of your actions.

Shift from blaming to ownership. Instead of focusing on what others aren’t doing, ask yourself, “What can I do to make this group better?”

Brad also emphasized how the words we use reflect our mindset and ultimately shape our actions. Replacing blame and excuses with personal responsibility creates opportunities for growth.

As a longtime Kokomo CEO board member and the leader of our mentor program, Brad continues to play an important role in the development of our students.

Thank you, Brad, for your continued investment in Kokomo CEO and for reminding our students that you don’t need a fancy title to be a leader!
