We had the opportunity to hear from Kokomo CEO board member Bob Hickman, Chief Banking and Credit Officer at Community First Bank, as he walked us through the foundation of building a strong business plan.

From defining your idea to mapping out the details that make it sustainable, Bob shared practical tips and real-world insight as our students begin developing their own personal businesses.

A major focus: financial projections. Understanding your numbers, thinking through revenue and expenses, and preparing to confidently present your plan—because next up, they’ll be pitching to a real banker.

This is where ideas start becoming real businesses.

You’ll see the results of their work at our annual Trade Show on May 5 at Northview Church from 4–6 PM.
