We visited Eclectic Me and had the chance to learn from owner Jo Ann Davis.
Jo Ann grew up in Chicago, started out painting t-shirts and making jewelry for her kids’ teachers. After moving to Kokomo, working at Acacia Academy, and losing her mom, she made a decision that changed everything:
“Life is too short. I want to pursue my dream.”
With an art degree, a passion for jewelry, vintage, and creativity, she rebuilt her business through multiple locations, logos, a full revamp during COVID, and even a $1 vintage camper she completely renovated to sell out of at markets.
Her current building? She prayed over it, made an offer she didn’t expect to be accepted… and it was.
“A blessing from God.”
Today, Eclectic Me is a hidden gem on Home Ave — a niche boutique full of clothing, jewelry, artwork, and curated vintage. Don’t miss it when you’re driving by. Jo Ann runs her own social media, supports local artists, and emphasized intentional marketing, research, and quality.
And, most of her shoppers come from out of town.
We’re grateful for her honesty, creativity, and resilience.
