“What will happen when we think about what is right with people rather than fixating on what is wrong with them?” — Donald Clifton

We met with Dr. Theresa Murphy, Vice Chancellor for Student Success at Ivy Tech, to explore CliftonStrengths and the power of focusing on what makes us naturally strong.

We learned that talent × investment = strength — and that real growth comes from developing what makes us strong, not dwelling on our weaknesses.

Identifying your top strengths leads to:
✨ Greater self-awareness
✨ Increased confidence
✨ Career & academic success
✨ Stronger collaboration

Instead of seeing strengths as labels, we were reminded that they’re neutral tools, it’s how we apply them with positive intent that makes the difference.

We were also joined by Kelly Karickhoff, Vice Chancellor of Development and Community Engagement, who put together some awesome Ivy Tech swag bags — thank you, Kelly! 💚
