Kokomo CEO made our first-ever visit to King’s Heating and Plumbing — a new addition to our business visit lineup, and what a visit it was!
We were welcomed by Jerry King, 3rd-generation owner and President; his wife and Secretary/Treasurer Terri King; and Jeff Moore, Office Manager. King’s began in 1946 with just Jerry’s grandfather and one partner. Today, they’re 25 employees strong and growing — serving both residential and commercial clients with a focus on long-term relationships, exceptional service, and old-school integrity.
You’ve probably heard their iconic radio jingle or spotted one of their red trucks around town — because when you see red, you know it’s King’s. And with second and third-generation customers to prove it, their commitment to service clearly stands the test of time.
From legacy to longevity, we talked about:
🔧 The power of being trainable and having a strong work ethic
🔧 The importance of communication, respect, and being a team player
🔧 How real growth doesn’t always mean expansion—it can mean doubling down on your community
🔧 And why “always be learning” isn’t just advice — it’s a necessity
We’re grateful to King’s for opening their doors and sharing their story. This is what CEO is all about — real businesses, real leaders, real lessons.
